Bali, the most famous island in Indonesia has many things to offer. Be it its stunning beaches, guided hikes through the mountains, dense forests, and amazing waterfalls, there is always one activity to do. The Bali swing was my first to-do on the Bali bucket list.
Just type in Google ‘Swing activities in Bali’, and plenty of Bali Swing tours show up in the results.
We chose the newly established Swing Heaven Bali as they offered an attractive package for an affordable price.

How much does a Bali swing cost?
The complete Bali swing package costs 35$ per person which includes lunch. We did not choose the lunch option as the vegetarian menu was quite limited. So the price was reduced to 30$ per person.
The all-inclusive package
Our Bali Swing tickets included a ton of activities. The 30$ package includes a plethora of photoshoot spots on their 1-hectare venue:
- romantic bed swing
- jumping swing
- tandem swing forward and backward facing
- bench tandem swing
- adrenaline swing
- medium swing
- two chicken nests
- 3 onion nests
- jungle bed
- big rock ayung river view
- heart nest
The company Swing Heaven Bali is quite flexible, for instance, if it is raining you can choose another day.
Every swing and nest inside is guided by support staff who will also be your photographer.
Card fee
They charge 3% extra if you pay with any card. Therefore I suggest you pay by cash (local currency) when visiting Bali Swing.
Also, the exchange rate from USD or EURO to Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is bad at their location. So the company themselves suggests the tourists pay in their local currency.

I asked them for an additional discount and they agreed to 10% if I booked in advance (~ 3 months). Booking in advance means providing all your details such as name, number of participants, and date of arrival.
You don’t need to pay anything in advance. You only pay when you visit the swing; therefore it is a win-win situation where you only give your details as a booking confirmation and get an additional 10% discount.
Note: A couple who asked for a discount on the spot were denied. Therefore make a booking in advance.
Renting a Bali flying dress
I was always fascinated by the pictures on the internet about the Bali swing where all the girls always had a pretty flowing dress that looked stunning in the air. The Bali swing operators also rent out these dresses which are about 150 IDR or around about 9€.
You can also book this dress in advance. If you need to rent additional dresses try bargaining more. I had a deal which was about 12€ for renting two dresses. As Bali swing heaven is a new company led by a young team, they are quite flexible in giving a good quotation.
Note: They don’t have a male dress.

How to reach the Bali swing heaven?
The swing Heaven is located 12km west of Ubud. As there is no public transport, there are 3 ways to reach this Bali Swing location.
1. Taxi apps
You can use taxi apps such as Grab or Gojek. They are reliable at an affordable price
2. Renting a car with a driver or a self-drive car
Rent a car for ~38€ per day (10 hours). I rented from the company Bali hire driver. They offer discounts if you rent for more than 3 days.

3. Rent a motorbike
Rent a motorbike for less than 5€ a day. Your hotel should be able to arrange a rental for you or google to the rescue.
Which is the best time and month to visit the Bali swing?
The best time is during the dry season from April to October. We visited in November. The temperatures were humid with some timely showers that lasted for a few hours.
The weather in Bali changes dramatically fast. Luckily the sky was clear during the swing.
Pro tip: Be there early. They open at 8:30 am and we were there at 9 a.m. There were hardly any visitors. So, the team also made a complimentary video of my wife walking through the entrance and all the way up to the swing. This was our most memorable moment in the entire Bali swing activity.
We completed all the activities in 2 – 2.5 hours. By that time the crowd had gathered up. Everyone had to wait for a long time in line to get their chance to swing.
You could easily save one or two hours by showing up early.
Swinging in the heaven
We started with the medium swing. The push was gentle and you could enjoy the panoramic view over the Ayung River. You could ask the guide to push more if you enjoy great heights.
Then followed the jungle bed and bed tandem swing. The Bali swing and photography come as a package, they were more commercial for couple photo shoots.
Adrenaline Swing
Finally, I tried the adrenaline swing. It completely excited me as I went high.
Bali Swing adrenaline rush was real. I said more and the guide pushed even further. Swing above the jungle in Bali was a dream come true.
At some point, I told the guide that it was enough and he slowed down. The Treetop swinging Bali experience was worth its expectations but not for the faint-hearted.
Photoshoot at the nests
The swing heaven had some of the best photo spots like the heart nest, and onion nest. One can spend hours doing a photoshoot over the entire region.
The guides here are passionate about their job. They click the best Couple photography from different angles and also give you the best ideas. Until you are satisfied, they continue taking pictures.
Again, the key is to reach this spot early as many guides are completely free in the early mornings.
Are there any food options at Swing Heaven?
You also get complimentary mineral water or Ice tea at the end of the activity in the all-inclusive package.
I have also included their lunch menu below. The service is extremely friendly.
Is the Bali swing worth it?
Bali Swing is worth a visit if you plan your visit on a sunny day. Showing up early in the morning met our expectations, especially the adrenaline swing and special video.
The Bali Swing Heaven is for all age groups. I would rate it as the Best swings in Bali and is the perfect place to have a honeymoon photoshoot.
A good half day should be enough to experience all the types of swings, jungle beds, and nests.
The best photos we got in our entire 8-day trip to Bali were in the Swing Heaven. I would recommend everyone to visit the Bali Swing Heaven on their trip to this beautiful island.
